Might fine sir! Thanks for sharing with us. Happy 4th to you!
Headed out this morning to lake McIntosh with three rods ,
A couple of 6’3” Abu Garcia MB3’s , one paired with a Shimano Miravel c2000s , and one with a Shimano Soare BB c2000spg .
The other rod was my 5’6” St Croix Avid paired with a Shimano Soare XR 500spg .
All were loaded with 2# Floroclear .
I started off casting a 1/64 TM jig with a BG IB Swim’r colored chartreuse. It took a few minutes but I found if I let the jig fall a little then a slow retrieve, I’d get bit usually , but they were the same small crappies I’ve been catching .
Swapped rods to the other Abu Garcia l tried a sowbug TM , a black BG , then a black TM body on a streamer hook with tungsten bead .
I like the 4.6mm Tungsten beads , they seem to cast like the 1/64 TM head but boy do they sink .
I caught ten crappie and decided to drive to the old mill creek .
The water was down and there were four others fishing the creek but they left an opening, so I said why not . I made sure I didn’t infringe on their area .
I was using a black BG on a TM jighead and lost it on my second cast to an underwater snag.
I tied on a size 12 streamer hook with a 3.5mm tungsten bead and a black TM . One thing about making jigheads from Tungsten beads is I can tailor my lures weight .
This turned out to work , and I caught a couple of redbreasts.
I think I caught three fish on this rig before switching to my 5’6” Avid with a micro spinner tied on . I thought this might work since the fish were small .
I caught six more redbreasts and small gills before the heat got too much for me and sent me home to the AC .

Always a good trip when you have pics to post. Good job using different baits and still finding fish. I got told at 3 this afternoon that we were working tomorrow. Your day was better than mine.
