Beautiful boat Randy. Much as I like it would be hard for me to give up the convivence of stick steer, never having to get up, but I guess on the river that's maybe not an option. Curious could you rig it for stick steer with the jet drive ? Scott

Believe me I lose sleep thinking about losing the convenience of a SS. Having used my old boat trout fishing the Caney Fork when they were generating, and then using my nephews tiller doing same tiller just works better when drifting in strong current. Go to sleep thinking about where to mount my Helix. Can’t afford to have two but just don’t know where to put it. In the end I’ll just be happy to get back in a boat. I’m sure they could probably do a SS on that boat but one thing is for sure, this is a tiller steer place? The gentleman that bought my bought just sent me some pics of him enjoying it on the Columbia River. Glad to see he is enjoying it.

    Regards

Humminbird used to make a switch that would allow you to run 2 tranducers off 1 head unit. Just flip back and forth if trolling motor was up. They quit making it and I was told it was because of interferance. I had and actualy still have it on the boat and never had problems with mine. I don't know if it would be compatible with todays Gen4 but if it would work I'd be glad to take it off and send it to you. I quit using it when I got livescope as I set up the humminbird for the transom and use the livescope on the trolling motor. Can't remember the name of the switch T-4 or something like that. Scott

Very kind of you to offer. I had that switch in my boat but when the Mega units came out you could no longer use it. I had 2 transducers when I had the 899.
