One Saturday I get one gill all day. Last Saturday I get a crappie, a perch and a tiny bass. I guess the heat and the wake boats have sent the water citizens to a deeper and safer place. At least for me it is hard to fish the drop offs and flats when the big boats are making big waves. All I can do is grab on to something and ride the wave roller coasters!

I've been struggling myself this year to get on fish. One week it's mid 60's next week it's 100 degrees. Two weeks ago I was fishing with my wife and she asked to go home early. She said, I'm to cold????

She won’t likely ever say that during the summer in these parts….
