    Default Father’s Day quick trip

I got out early this morning, 9am , that’s early for me , to get in a little line time before my daughter and granddaughters called to wish me a Happy Father’s Day.
The first place I stopped, I wasn’t expecting any size and of the seven I caught in the thirty minutes I fished there , the little redear was the biggest thing I caught .
It got way too busy at that location so , I headed to the town pond. I set my watch timer at thirty minutes when I got out of the car .
The water was as I expected, starting to look stagnant with a film on the surface . But I was there , so I fished .
I caught five , they were all bigger than the previous spot . One wrapped me around the bridge support beam and broke me off . The consequences of using two pound line .
That was the second little spinner lost today , the other I dropped while changing lures on the dock at the previous spot and of course it fell through the small crack between the boards . My luck .
I only took one rod , my 5’ St Croix Avid ULF paired up with a Shimano Nasci 500fc and 2#Floroclear . Looking at the pics , the Nasci pairs up nicely with the Avid .
Lures were the tiny spinners I recently discovered catch fish . Probably better than a Trout Magnet and that’s saying something.

That’s a good trip. I like the small cracker you came up with. Makes for a good day.
