They’re pretty elusive for me but I got lucky today. The first pic is my second ten inch gill this year. I’m officially a happy boy to meet him. Having the new reel to play with I had to go and see who was about. I didn’t take pics of all of em, kinda feel like I’m wearin y’all out doin that, but a few were a little bigger or better lookin so I told em I’d make em famous before I dropped em back in. Nino met me at the ramp and we knocked around together, he in his boat and me in mine. He said that I caught 25 fish today, and that may be true, but it felt more like 15 or maybe a few more to me. On the other hand, he wasn’t sitting around just watching the show. He got no less than ten nice gills and some of them came fishing behind me down a bank. Color and bait choice kept him in the fish today in fine style. He really has come a long way these past few months. Redbreast visited us both today, mine was an above average size. Like his cousins, he tried to steal my rod too. It was a good day, overcast and sunny both and the heat got up as it was time to go. God was good to us both today. We enjoyed the day in good company and good conditions and kept none of the fish he blessed us with. We shook hands and parted ways, both wearing big smiles. I hope y’all can enjoy some time outside soon. Hope to see you when you do, til then…….Skeet

Congrats on getting a 10” gill , I’m still chasing. About 9.5” is my closest.

Thanks everyone. Some of them look kinda battle worn for some reason and others are just great looking with vivid colors. Pretty is as pretty does so they’re all gorgeous to me.

Just realized that I didn’t mention my bright colored line. Varivas master limited super premium in 5lb. Casts like there’s no tomorrow. Great stuff. Had to strip another reel free of the Nanofil that broke twice for no reason. Had a spool of some Varivas Avani saltwater finesse pe in .4 size. I have more confidence in this Varivas than most anything else, and it’s way thinner. Should do the walk the dog baits for the schooling bass just fine.
