Default Back to the Pond “part 2”

I made a trip back to our town pond this morning, looking for some gills .
I decided I needed to get near the bottom without getting into the slime and moss .
I decided to go with a drop shot rig using my Daiwa Gekkabijin 55-ul-s, paired with a Daiwa Legalis LT1000s spooled with 3# Pline Floroclear.
I used the shorter rod for its increase in sensitivity.
I love it when a plan comes together.
I caught nine bluegills and a shellcracker , using a 1/80th jighead with a size 10 sickle hook and a Bobby Garland Itty Bit Swim’r in black , about 12-14” above my 1/16oz drop shot weight . This gives me good distance even with the short rod so I can cover more water.
No monsters , but some nice fun size catches .
At least I know they’re still a few gills left in there .
