    Default Been a Long While

Since I've been fishing. A friend took me out to Bald Knob Lake...the first time on that lake for either of us. He has an HB si unit but had never used the unit. I told him no worries I would find us some beds...and I did. I think we were late to the party though. Only a few fish on each bed but we caught plenty going from bed to bed....I had about 35 fish. I used a Bison colored Trout Magnet for most of my catches and Sow Bug to clean up a few left overs. Really was able to test out the TenRyu Lunakia 63 rod. It fished just like its big brother the 610 did...absolutely superb. Had the Zenon 1000S spooled up with the Varivas Twitch Master 3# test nylon. While I am not a fan of nylon line if you have to use one this is it. Very low stretch and thin diameter....most sensitive nylon line I have ever used. I went that road today instead of my Ester line...which I absolutely love....as I just did not to want to fool with a leader today. The water we fished is tanic and made for good color on the fish. To say I had a great time today is an understatement. I was laughing like a little kid. I hope I never go this long again without fishing.

    Regards

Congrats on getting out ! I know it had to feel good to finally go fishing .
    Pretty fish !

With your recent talking about getting another boat , I got mine ready to go yesterday.
It’ll be my first time pulling it with the RAV4 .
But I don’t plan on going far .

Mostly, I’m glad to hear that you felt good enough to go. I know something about sitting around too, and it ain’t fun. But the fish made it worth the wait. Some nice redear, real nice. I’ve only caught 1 so far this year but he was nice. Hope you get out more regular, it’s better for the attitude.

Nice report, Randy, and I also am glad to see you were able to get out on the water. The 63 is a beautiful rod - I love mine.
