    Hi everyone
What other lures are you guys using for panfish blugill, or pumpkin seeds?
I been using the fly n bobber for a while amd it's doing great but I'm getting bored with it!
    Thanks!

I’ve been using Trout Magnet for about 15 years. It catches me tons of fish. I am certainly not bored with it. Many lures will catch bluegill. For a number of years now I’ve been all about reducing the amount of tackle I carry. The TM allows me to do that. For me once I find something that works I stick with it. In TM I have a lure that is not only great for bluegill but it is also great for Spots…Smallies…trout.

    Regards

If the bottom conditions of your fishing locations allow for it, a drop shot rig (I just use a split-shot on the end of the line) will allow you to connect with fish that hang out down there. Still use a fly, or some small plastics or Gulp/Powerbait, but a slightly different kind of fishing. Just cast it out, twitch every now and then, hop and/or drag it a little bit, and repeat as you slowly cover the bottom all around you.

If your panfish are large, small spinners (beetle spin, Panther Martin, Road Runner, etc.) or small crankbaits will catch some as well.

I own a lot of panfish lures but for the last six months or so I’ve found the only thing I need to take with me is an assortment of Trout Magnets .
I never know what’s going to attack my TM . I love catching a variety of fish using the same lure .

With everyone’s confidence in the TM, it’s on my list of tackle to acquire. Down here they aren’t on the rack like they are further north so I have to order some online and I’m sure I’ll join in with the others that are confident in them. What I use most is the Itty Bitty slab slayers from Bobby Garland with good success in a few colors. I’ve also tied small jigs to copy those colors and go beyond durable. I’ve noticed on my last few trips that I don’t venture far from some confidence baits that have done well for me and in thinking of downsizing my everyday carry box for my boat. I’m also guilty of forgetting whatever else I have in the boat when what I have on the line is working well.

Trout magnet. They’ll get them, plus crappie and bass. Also, the occasional catfish.

It’s amazing how you can pare down your tackle bag when you think about what you really need. I’m down to a small Fanny pack and have everything I need.
