Default what's your go to JIG?

I just stepped down from being the big boss into a regular 32hr/wk gig, So I am ready to hit the panfish hard. I am about to tie some jigs up and need suggestions and pics if you could, Bluegill are my main target.

    thanks!

I would do something in 1/64th black or maybe some chartreuse thread woven in or on the tail for your handtie go to jig. Have always used small spiders for BG but truly anything small that ketch's their eye will do.

Black and red has always worked great for me. This is a 1/32 with marabou. Tip it with a wax worm and they can’t resist it.

Don’t tie anything. Just buy some trout magnets. LOL

Read a lot about them on this board, so I finally tried them. Blown away at how well they work!

Tie if you like but not necessary, IMO.

    I haven’t tied anything in awhile, but when I did , I liked a 1/80 jighead with a sickle hook . I believe it was either a size 8 or 10.

At the moment I’m hooked on Trout Magnets too . .
I use either a 1/64 or a 1/32 TM jighead depending on the wind on two pound test P-line Flouroclear.
When the fishing is really tough I go with the mini TM 1/200th under a 3/4” weighted round snap on foam float.

Got to agree on the Trout Magnets, but tying is a great recreation as well! Can’t beat small Woolley Buggers - olive with a little flash!

For me I will have a 1/48-1/80 duck feather jig with a #10 or 12 jig hook tipped with a tiny piece of Berkley power wiggler. Recently tied some 1/100 with #18 barbless hooks and they liked that too and was surprised not one swallowed the tiny thing.Name: IMG_4118.jpg

These work well for me. The hair is red squirrel tail. Tied on 1/32 or lighter.

Seems orange and brown, and red and brown work best to me , I like a 1/32 number 8 , but a number 10 on a lighter head might be good unless the gills are brutes
