I know they were a tough fight! Glad the weather let you get out some, been tough up your way.
Got out later than normal since it was cold and windy. Had two spots I hadn't fished this year and were close to each other. Started out fishing below a spillway hoping for a hybrid striper or bass and hooked a big bass on first cast that threw my 3/16 Herring underspin back at me on the jump. Wish I could have gotten a picture of that. Fished spot for an hour and caught three nice bass and a gar. Biggest bass was a 20" Largemouth that weighed 4.02, others were Kentucky's. Went to a small lake that has some Redear and gills and had a blast with the ultralight fishing a 1/48 chub tied with duck feathers on a #12 hook. Lot's of gills, redear and gill/crackers in the 6-8" range. Sorry, no pics of the sunfish but plan on going back today and will take some pics. Hard to stop for pics when they are biting well.

Those are some mighty fine looking bass. I love their fight. Smallmouth are the best at returning lures via “air mail”.

WTG Jim those are some dandy's. bet they fought hard on your light equipment. then going on to bunch of panfish as well. fun.
Hardest part was pulling them to me standing on a big rock in the heavy current and the drag would slip and had to tighten down the drag a couple clicks. They hammered that underspin.
