Thread: Hotdogs as tippers

Some really nice gills there. No doubt that hot dogs will catch anything swimming that eats meat. Watched a catfish guy fishing with hot dogs reel in his bait and big bass smashes it right on top. 7 lber on a hot dog. Offered the guy $20 if he let it go but was declined. Can buy a lot of hot dogs for $20.

Well that is a new one on me. Have to give it a try. Nice catches by the way.

for some reason when I did the salty shrimp thing I heard about on here , it was a total waste of time and shrimp , nothing wanted to eat it ...

Haven’t tried hot dogs in a long time. When I was a kid any type of meat was tried. We mostly used good old worms from my mom’s garden, they were almost always never fail.

it is funny though , sometimes the fish sort of don't care for them much and other times they eat em as fast as you can get em down there ....?

Just a hint Catfishing with Hot dogs To toughen them (stay on hook better)..Microwave them to the rubbery state,makes them stay on hook...Have not tried but I bet doin same and cube up nibble size would toughen them a lot where they stay on Hook for Pan Fish...Might be better to cube up then microwave.. just another thought
