Default our red ear never seem to get really fat ?

but to be sure they like you to keep the bait moving along at a clip most of the time ?
never knew red ear liked the bait to be running along so quickly ...interesting farm pond species for sure ....
when I see other red ear they often look like a dinner plate and most of ours look torpedo shaped ....
    sure fight well ....

Ours did not till we put a 1/2 dump truck of muscles (state biologist )20 yrs . ago . We also put gravel beds in the lake and in years past a high protein food was fed daily . Now that folks are getting older interest is dropping in lake management and it shows . We still have a few good ones though . Afew from the recent past .
