Nice catches
Today was hair salon day , so threw a rod in the car .
My 6’ St Croix Avid ULF paired with a Daiwa Legalis LT 1000d and three pound test P-line .
I already had a 1/32 Trout Magnet jig head and Sowbug body tied on so I went with it.
The weather was wet . One of those drizzly days where you’re not sure if it’s going dump on you or not .
When I go out of the car at the lake , after dropping my wife off , I set my iphone timer at thirty minutes and walked straight to the boat ramp .
About my third cast I caught a nice crappie. After snapping a picture, and releasing it , the rain picked up and I headed for the car .
About ten minutes and it slacked up and I was back at the ramp .
My next crappie turned out to be the biggest and I thought if I’d only brought a cooler , I’d keep a couple .
Ended up with three crappies and a small bass , in less than twenty minutes of actual fishing time.
I kinda enjoy these little timed outings .
The pressure of catching something in an allocated time adds to the excitement.
The wife has PT in the morning, if it’s not raining I’ll be at it again .

That’s a stud crappie! That would have me thinking tacos too. A good trip in a small window, good job.
