Good job Tim. Thanks for sharing
Got off work some early today and waited for the heat to get past the middle of the day. I wasn’t going in 92 and full sun. Called NiNo and he was all over the idea and was at my house at 3:30. We dropped in and just started throwing at almost anything that looked fishy. Didn’t find anything for a little while so we both moved on but stayed close enough to holler now and then. I pitched into this one tree trunk and got a faint thump, good fish worth dinner but today was a day to fish, not fillet.
A few more casts and got a 9”, and a cast or two after that was another 13+. Things were looking up. Next cast was another 9 and then things slowed down and smaller fish came now and then. Made a little move and lost a solid 14” at the boat as I reached for the net, and boated another 12+ and then things slowed down again. I visited with NiNo some and then went to check on some bluegill that I’d found Saturday. Luck was on my side and I found a few smalls and this fella here.
I caught him at distance and he went through all the tricks to not have to look at me close up. Really nice fish and fight. I was getting hungry and it was closing in on 7 so we headed for the ramp. Under 3 hours and a good midweek fun trip with nothing to do afterwards but plug in the charger. Thanks for riding along, hoping for some time over the coming weekend. Y’all be good and til next time…….Skeet
