The weather was just about perfect today .
When I got to the boat ramp around 11:10 , the temperature was around 70 , sunny , but a little breezy.
My fishing buddy arrived around 11:30 and I’d already caught a nice crappie, three small warmouth, and a couple of green sunfish.
I ended up catching three crappies today , two bass , three bream , and fourteen warmouths and green sunfish combined .
I used my 6’3” Abu Garcia Mass Beat III paired with a Daiwa Fuego LT1000d spooled with 2# P-Line Floroclear .
All were caught using 1/64 Trout Magnet jighead and TM bodies . I used sowbug , bison , and black/chartreuse .
My buddy caught 24 green sunfish and warmouth combined on a hand-tied spider fly .
We met the game warden today . Nice guy . We talked to him for quite awhile .
Seems he’s an UL fan and fly fisherman. A young guy .
First GW I’ve seen down there in awhile . They’re usually tied up doing other things for the state .
Afterward we fished, we found a spot on the Management area and shot our traditional recurve bows for a few minutes.
