Very nice catches
When windy I sometimes fish a drop shot for gills .
My drop shot rig is a 1/64 or 1/80 jighead with a Bobby Garland Itty Bitty swimmer about 12-14” above a 1/16 jighead I’ve cut the hook off of .
I started off fishing a 5’ St Croix Premier with a Daiwa Fuego 2000SH and a Cajun cricket swimmer and after my first catch I switched to a 5’ Rosewood UL rod paired with a Daiwa Fuego LT 1000d and a Monkey Milk swimmer ad caught four more gills before it was time to go have the car inspected so we can get our annual car tag updated.
The St Croix Premier worked , but I found the cheap , made in China , Rosewood a little more sensitive.
And I needed all the sensitivity I could get with the gusty wind .
No monsters , but four of them were decent size .
All of my JDM rods are either XUL or XXUL, I think need a 5’ UL JDM rod .
Thinking of a Major Craft Finetail.
Started sprinkling rain on the way home . Tomorrow maybe a wash out with Nicole headed our way .

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!gillchaser999 LIKED above post
Nice gills. Haven't used the drop-shot in a while. Gonna give a try soon. Might be useful with the water temps dropping.
