Best I can tell is it looks like a female Redear. Looks to have a thin line of yellow/orange on the gill flap (female) rather than the red edging (male).
I caught this sunfish in Lake Chickamauga this week on a redworm. I don't see any red on the end of it's gill flap. It is big enough to be a redear (shellcracker) but it is missing the red area. Is it a hybrid redear or is it some other species?

Looks like a redear/bluegill hybrid to me . Got the shape of a bluegill with a little orange belly . Color of a redear.
