    Default More Breaking In .

Got down to 34 last night . It was upper 50’s by the time I got to the Town Pond around 12:30 .
It was breezy with occasional gusts making casting difficult sometimes.
I tied on a Trout Magnet 1/64 head and a Bison body .
It took a few casts but finally hooked up with the biggest gill of the day and the biggest in awhile . But the attraction of the TM Bison wore off and I went 20-30 minutes without another bite .
I switched bodies to a Boddy Garland Itty Bitty Slab Hunter in Cajun Cricket and caught four more gills and a shellcracker swimming the jig , before I left at 2:00.
The new 5’ Daiwa Trout XUL performed perfect and was a blast catching the gills . The Carbon X 500 performed like a $300 reel . Smooth winding and awesome carbon drag .
My best four for today .

That combination sure has gotten your approval, and what better way than with four good ones like those.

The lure of the day was just a 1/64 Trout Magnet jighead and a Bobby Garland Itty Bitty Slab Hunter in Cajun Cricket color .
