Those are some good fish, nice rig too.
Other half has a doctors appointment today so I only had around an hour to fish .
So I headed to the town pond , armed with a 5’6” St Croix Triumph four piece ultralight Travel rod , paired with a 1000 Carbon X reel , spooled with 3# P-line Fluorocarbon line .
I started off with a green/black Bobby garland itty bitty Swim’R on a 1/64 jighead .
Caught my first , a small gill on about my fifth cast .
Then my spot went dry . Instead of changing location , I changed lures to a 1/64 trout magnet head and black TM body .
On about my third cast I caught a nice , for ultralight, LM .
A few minutes later I hook something nice that wrapped me underwater on something. Ended up breaking off .
I ended up catching five gills including an ok shellcracker and the one bass with the larger gill coming on my last cast using a Bulldog color TM .
The rod combo preformed great .

Very nice fish and you can’t beat a TM! They had to be nice on U/L gear.
