The shellcracker are one of favorites too . No other panfish fights like a shellcracker .
This one stabbed me in the palm while I was trying to get a picture. They just don’t give up .

Monday meet up with my fishing buddy.
We met later in the day at 11:30am , the temp had just reach fifty degrees.
It was sunny , but a little windy .
My buddy caught sixteen , including a bass about the size of last weeks . About twelve inches or so . Good UL fish .
I caught twelve , ten small green sunfish , one small gill and this shellcracker. A nice UL fish , caught on a Bobby Garland Itty Bitty slab Hunter , on my 6’ St Croix Avid Panfish paired with a Daiwa Fuego LT 1000d and three pound P-line flouroclear .
We fished almost four hours .
It’ll be a couple weeks before our next meet up .

Thanks , I particularly liked the yellow on this one . Picture doesn’t do it justice.
It was a really pretty fish .
When it hit and took off , I thought I’d hooked another spotted bass .
