    Default Mo Betta

After being skunked last trip out I had to go and seek redemption. Apparently my office isn’t back to doing business yet, so I went to another creek that I haven’t fished in about a year. Being the weekend it promised more boat traffic which usually keeps me away. Lots of recent rain has the river up and flowing and the fish can get out in the woods to a point. Conditions were pleasant and I had a few visits from the locals. Momma deer and her young one from this spring eased by and left with their tails still flicking to and fro, unconcerned of my presence. Manatees we’re rolling around and doing frisky things, second time I’ve seen that. The fish stealing owl came to visit but was disappointed that I wasn’t catching more than I was. My catch history when I left was one crappie and two redbreast sunfish that fought admirably. The second one had me thinking it was another good crappie, but his 7 inches wasn’t close to the crappies nearly twelve. A very relaxing trip and all that visited went back home. Another bright spot from the last couple of days is that some of my side effects are beginning to lay down and let me begin to become somewhat comfortable again. My queen and I went to a favorite restaurant of ours that has been feeding me over 50 years and I could taste some of the food. Absolutely wonderful!! Saliva is beginning to be better so the mouth and throat aren’t so dry and upset. Pain level is still a bother but looking back a week I can see improvement. Now that I can eat some my strength should begin to return. I’m so blessed in all of this that I don’t know how to act. Thanks for everyone’s prayers and concerns. This process has been an emotional one and knowing everyone is there for me has helped a lot. Just a couple of pics from today, and I hope to see you out soon….Skeet Name: 91F264C2-E080-46CC-A747-F8B3AF5D41B6.jpg
