LV, you might look into Sabiki rigs. Used for catching bait they have multiple tiny hooks with a touch of color on each and they’re inexpensive. Looks about like what you were using.

Skeet, I've used Sabiki rig before long ago for catching live baits for my surf excursions. It certainly would work with baby gills, but now I'm mostly 1-hook kind of fisherman.
