Default One, but very colorful one

Went out fishing, at a creek with not much of anything over a few inches. Got one redbreast, which I've caught upstream in the past, but they were completely black (with the red breast). There were also a few longer fish, maybe a foot, but I wasn't sure what they were. Definitely didn't react at all to lures except with fear. Name: 20220903_115533.jpg

Good catch there in the poor water conditions we've got going with the drought. I'll bet they were skittish with the low water, no way to hide from us predators.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

For sure. The little guys would peck at it occasionally, the bigger ones would run from it. Also, the water was crystal clear, which didn't help with conditions.
