    Default Tenkara Six footers

I took a couple of my six foot Tenkara rods micro gill chasing this morning. Dock fishing at the reservoir close by the house .
Mostly small gills from the dock , but fun on the fly with a limber rod .
And my six foot Tenkara rods works perfectly .
I caught seventeen in just over an hour .
These are the bigger ones included a juvenile shellcracker that fought hard and put a bend in my rod and a smile on my face .

They’re a simple fun way to fly fish . The trick is in adjusting the leader and tippet length. And with the short rods you need a long arm when playing a fish

I dove off into watching folks fish in Japan. Certainly some interesting fishing gear. Definitely have to have some precision to throw a lure in most of the places that they fish. Definitely interesting
