    Default Chasing Greenies Tenkara Style

Met up with my fishing buddy at West Point Reservoir this morning to chase some green sunfish and whatever else decided to grab our flies .
I was alternating a 6’ Goture Moonlight Tenkara rod and a Wild Water 7-8’ Zoom Tenkara rod . Most of my 36 were caught on rubber legged spiders . My buddy has a bug he ties that he was using . I think anything works as long as it’s buggy looking .
My friend caught 32 . The competition was close today .
Most were small but colorful specimens.
I did catch another warmouth. It seems to be a warmouth week . That makes three so far .
I also caught a Green Sunfish , Bluegill hybrid, that was one of the bigger fish and put a heck of a bend in the Goture Moonlight .
The Wild Water Tenkara is unique in that you can fish it as a 7’ or an 8’ . Both rods are super lightweight and have a nice bend in them when a fish is own .
    I’m enjoying fishing Tenkara .

In case anyone is interested, the Goture Moonlight weighs 1.6oz and the Wild Water Zoom Tenkara rod weighs 2.0oz.
