Your label is different than mine. I like the stuff. My label says 6.5 max, right under the diameter. Not sure if it’s the same but different pound test. It appears to be. Given the chance I fish bright line-so I can see it against the dark backdrop of the woods if fish around. Slab was right, it’s a dream to cast. Sorry if I gave the wrong idea about you liking it boss, not my intent. All of fish different, me more than most it seems. Makes it fun and a big accomplishment when I land something big on little line. Chances are good they gonna go back in the pool anyway so if they break off I’m only disappointed that I didn’t get to shake his fin. Or whatever.

I saw the differences in the label but thought they may be in the same family or group of lines. This is the second type of Varivas line I have spooled on a reel and I hate to say it but I may be becoming a brand snob.

Gun, after dealing with the shortcomings of the domestic offerings I might join you in that train of thought. My tiny stuff is so much fun but tough to cast and this does a good job. More to come.

    Gunwhatgun,

Although the labels look nearly identical, your VARIVAS line is the "Super Ester" (polyester) Neo Orange color model,
and Skeetbum's is the "Super Premium PE," 4-strand braid, Sight Orange & Black color model.

Both are designed for ultralight fishing, however these 2 different models are made of different materials and have very different characteristics.

Thank you for the clarification. I can tell you this, that orange line has quickly become one of my favorite lines. I was a bit afraid the bright line would hurt the bite, but they did not care in the least. I also want to say thank you for the awesome coupon deal that allowed me to get a whole bunch of new lines to try.
