Certainly some nice ones there
Creeks are mudded up due to the recent rains, so drove out to one of the lakes today for a few hours of gill fishin. Haven't fished this one in a month, been trying to stay a bit closer to home, and it was nice to be back there. Caught a few good ones on a spinner w/stinger trailer & the rest on poppers behind a weighted strike indicator. Lost one of my good Boogle bug poppers when a nice gill dove into the weeds and for the life of me couldn't get him out snapping the line trying to pull him out. Nothing like those creeks though, they can sure eat up some hardware.
Certainly some nice ones there

Nice looking gills . Good size to them too !
Looking forward to the fall when hopefully it’ll cool off enough to fish afternoons in my boat .
Too much going on this past spring, then it got too hot for this old man to get out on the lake .

Beautiful fish, moon. You’re right that the creeks can eat a lot of lures. That’s why I have been using a lot of floats lately. My creek is a real rocky one!
