    Default First creek Gill

Have been catching mostly smallmouths in the creek I fished this afternoon but you never know, yesterday caught a big freshwater drum. Today I caught my second Sauger bouncing a jig along the bottom and finally a little Gill on a elbow spinner/1"tube. A couple came along and started swimming their dog right next to where I was fishing so wrapped it up early.Name: DSC02169.jpg

Both nice fish. You hear me talk of “when the crazy people show up” in my posts. Those folks and their dog are a perfect example. My temperament doesn’t let me keep my mouth shut sometimes so I usually leave before anything raises it’s ugly head. I like the fact that you go so often, makes me long for my days ahead when I have more time.

Yes, it isn’t right but these days it probably is just best to let it go. Certain spots on my creek it isn’t even worth stopping by. This in water with PFS and lord knows what else!
