This stream or crick (as we call it) in our township drains into the Ohio river. When we were kids back in the 1950's/60's all that was in it were catfish and carp. Water quality has improved significantly and is now stocked with trout each year in the spring. Hear tell there is rock bass and other panfish present so I gave it a try today. Struck out but had a great time with some smallies. They really like taking to the air and don't like sittin for a pic. The last one put up quite a fight. Will continue to investigate. Where is that BASS Forum???
Congratulations, here ya go.

Bet they were fun on the ESP. My cousin caught a 15 to 16 in lg mouth last night on mine, the rod had quite the bend in as he was bringing it in.

Nothing like a smallie on the hook to get the heart pumping, moon. They return a lot of my hooks airmail and that’s just part of the game. Fun times. My stream/creek stopped trout stocking because apparently there was a fire retardant spill that raised the toxic level too high. The fish look healthy but CPR only. Thanks for the story.

Nice photo moon. Another nice thing for you is to be able to still fish water you fished as a kid. I have one spot over in NJ that I would love to fish again, but private and off limits - no one cared about that when we were kids.
