Definitely an exciting start
I got an early start since we jumped from the 50's on Friday to 90's yesterday. With the warmer temps wanted to see if the Redear had moved up on the beds and found a few doing what they do at Lake #1 but they weren't wanting my tiny jigs but the Bass, Bluegill and a channel cat were willing. Had a 5-6 lb bass snatch a 7" gill and had him on for 10 seconds or so before she let go. On the way to Lake #2 I drove up on this turkey that was looking for companionship. Finally wandered back into the woods. Water was high and couldn't fish Lake #2 so fished Lake #3 close to home. Slow there but did pick up a nice hybrid bluegill and a couple more channel cats that hit my little jigs swimming them along the edge of the cement pond. Need to start fishing the edges more.

Good to get out in nice weather and a few fish made it that much better. I have a place for that Tom, right next to the green beans and mashed taters. Nice long beard.
