Default A day at the lake

Didn't start heading back into the lake until around 11:00 this morning. No fish visible from the shore which seemed a bit odd. After trying a few different baits with no success, finally started connecting on fish deep dragging a bait at a stop and go snails pace. A few hours later could see fish barely breaking the surface and tied on a tiny popper behind a small weighted strike indicator. A few small fish & then hit two nice ones when placing that popper above a few old submerged treetops where any sinking bait would have snagged. Here's a few pics, thanks for lookin!Name: DSC01810.jpg

Nice technique with the popper. You earned those fish!

So much fun with the popper, sometimes they are looking up instead of down.

Nice fish. I'll have to try that sometime.
