Great looking fish, going to check for Bluegill beds up this way soon.

I had a solo trip to check on Shellcrackers to see if they had gone shallow yet. A wonderful 1.5 hours of fishing yielded 28 Shellcrackers, 5 bluegills and 1 yellow perch. I kept one less than a legal limit and released 8 crackers, 5 gills. Biggest fish was 11” and was a handful on my ultralight rod with 2 lb P line.
There is gonna be a good fresh fish fry tonight. Grin. All fish caught on Curtis Hobbs 1/48oz Litewire jigs and IttyBitty plastics. I used a color today that I have never used for crackers before and they ate it up. A few even came to the boat and I watched them grab the lure just before I pulled it out of the water.
