    Default Thill Shy Bite Floats

Has anyone seen any of these?

    Thill Mini-Shy Bite

They have been out of stock everywhere I have looked. Or a good recommendation as an alternative?

    Thanks

I have not used those. I have not seen a Thill float that was not well made. I will look and see if I can find some

    slipperyrock,

I started a thread on the panfish forum on 12/21/2021 named One man's trash.... , its on page 6. If you go back and look at that thread it may give you some help with your question. The second page of thread explains what I did.

I have used them and like them, with some caveats.

They are (or at least used to be) made in different sizes. Last trip out, I used the 3" for fishing bluegills in shallow water with a worm on a hook. It took one BB shot and a micro shot below that; more than that would have sunk it. It lands lightly and tends not to spook fish, and it is easily sucked under by shy biters.

A potential down side, compared to many bobbers, is that they don't hold up much weight. That makes distance casting difficult. A long rod and 2-lb. line help a lot with that where one can use them.

DB4D was a huge Thill fan. We haven’t herd from him in a long time. Maybe he will chime in as he has a lot of experience.
