Default Maiden Voyage of the TFO Trout/Panfish UL fast

Not much time to fish due to storms coming thru today. Caught a few smaller gills on a fly at first, then switched over to some cut down elaztech baits. Was smooth sailing right up until about time to leave & then hit some rough water. A LMB around 20" sucked in that tiny 1 1/2" pearl worm on a 1/64th jig head. Had to tighten the drag a bit after two runs across the lake, then two head shakin jumps but that little jig head held fast. That rod has more backbone than what I am used to and it sure came in handy this afternoon. Thanks for lookin!Name: DSC01785.jpg

Nice outing, and very nice UL LM ! Congrats!
What length TFO T&P did you get ?
I need to start taking a landing net with me if I’m going to fish 2# test . I’ve had 12” bass break me off trying to slide them up the bank .

Very good trip and some very nice LMB. They do get a mind of their own sometimes. Great pics of the gills, that’s what I went looking for and just found a few. Also good that you enjoy the rod and not regret the buy.

    GC999,
6' 2 piece. Tried a TCB for a few trips, that long handle and I do not get along. A net is nice when needed as long as lightweight, as most places I hit are back in.

I didn’t like the TCB long handle either .
I have the 6’ and the 6’6” two piece TFO’s . Except for being a little on the heavy side , they are nice rods .
TFO rods have a reputation of being a little heavier than some other brands , even their flyrods . But I’ve found them to be durable rods too.
