she has several , we just didn't have one she wanted to use with us , we borrowed one laying on my friends fishing pier at another spot on his place before we hit that pond .
was a broom stick with real heavy line and an old really beat down big zebco on it ....

She would have really put on a show with the Barbie rod and reel in hand.

When my wife and I first got married , she used to go fishing with me all of the time . She was my number one fishing buddy . But as time went on she lost interest.
She was competitive back then . Always trying to catch more and bigger fish than I caught.
    I miss those days .
I try to get her to go now , but she won’t go .

mine does not live to ketch fish like me , but she really loves to ketch them , there are many days she says nope got other things to do .
one thing for sure though , she can hang with the hardcore ketchn crew when she hits the water most of the time

You can’t beat the famous Barbie rod. That said, the rod she was using DID look like a serious case of overkill. Talk about a fling and slinger!

Yep, that rod looks like a serious surf rod with a Zebco reel. Evidently, she don't set the hook like you, cause with that poll the fish would either be in orbit, or she would be holding the skeleton, and the meat would swimming still, LOL. Great jog, and nice fish for sure....
