Default I think I know this guy :)

I think I’ve caught this fellow a few times , at least three counting yesterday. The one at the bottom.
His puffy lips , are a dead giveaway. LOL .
Hit the pond this afternoon for about an hour and a half .
Caught three gills and a small LM .
All on a drop shot spider fly on a 6’6” St Croix Triumph TS66LF . With my new Legalis LT 1000 , spooled with 2# P-line .
I’ve been trying to get use to using longer rods , but it’s not working . I just don’t feel what’s going on like I do with my shorter rods . Sometimes, I think I can feel the tail of a woolybooger flopping with the short fast rods .
With the longer rods , I feel the thump , most of the time , but it’s a faint thump .

I see what you mean on the third photo. Poor guy! Hungry and can’t get it figured out! Good photos.

Thanks , I just remembered one of the gills was caught on a woolybooger.
As soon as I got home I switched the Daiwa Legalis over to an older model 5’4” St Croix Panfish . Getting ready for when I get my next chance to wet a line .
The insurance company totaled my Tacoma yesterday and they’re supposed to pick it up tomorrow or Monday .
I’ll be without my own vehicle until I figure out the route my wife and I take in replacing the truck .
Until then , my fishing will be short trips to the town pond .
Can’t complain. It’s four minutes away , according to my iPhone , and the fish usually cooperate.
Thinking of buying my wife’s Rav4 from her and us buying a new Camry for “her/our” car .
I’ll have to have a trailer hitch installed on the Rav4 .

Another good short trip that I wish I could get away for. Good luck with the insurance company and the new ride. Be sure and check the tow capacity of the Rav before getting comitted to it, cuz I know your boats getting wet soon.
