Really like the Woolybugger jig idea. Congratulations on some nice gills!

WBs work very well on pans and just about anything else. Olive for me was always a can’t miss. Actually, I have caught pans on just about every fly I ever tried.

I visited the town pond for about 1 1/2 hours today .
Temperature has to be a record today. 77 when I got home . Party cloudy too , so I got some sun .
Fished my 5’6” Daiwa Procyon with a Shimano Nasci 500 spooled with 4# original P-Line.
Used my micro woolybooger jigs .
I brought three to hand to be released . Had four get off including one that I couldn’t turn sitting down , that got under the walking bridge and wrapped on a post . Lost my jig , but saved my little 3/4” foam float .
They’re some nice gills swimming around in that little pond now . They get big eating the duck food people buy out of a machine the town installed up at the pond .
Middle one was the largest . Two looked similar. I need to take my fish ruler next trip so I can measure some of these .
