Fished the Tennessee River below Nickajack dam for three hours without as much as a nibble yesterday. Threw Speed Craws and BPS Hellgramites on Ned Rig. About to concede the Skunk when I decided to slow troll a Shad Rap down to the barge pillars. No sooner than I put the rod in the holder and reached for my lunch box, the rod was bending and the Skunk was gone. For the next three hours I pounded the rip rap and caught twenty included two 17" Smallies and a 15-3/4" chunky Spot. Also foul hooked a Drum on a Strike King crank bait. Amazing that the bass could be so picky that they would only bite a small Shad Rap. Looking forward to next weekend to do it again!
BTW....I noticed Alphahawk uses a clicker/counter when he fished to keep up. Got me one and it is the best ever! Never have to guess how many fish i've caught.
