I believe he was talking about average growth rates where conditions are favorable. I did see where stunted growth from over population would cause a fish be small

I agree , somewhat , but with the new electronics , it allows folks to find the deep water beds that before , would help keep a fishable population of gills before . Now they wipe them all out when they’re the most vulnerable.

I think we agree. Electronics just makes it easier for the irresponsible.

    Wish they would.
I’ve seen them check for license , but have never seen them check for undersize fish or numbers .
The lake is checked mostly by the county Marshals and they seem more concerned with catching people who don’t get off the lake by the posted time.

Most of the time if they get to checking someone for fish. Someone else had turned them in

the sheriff's office here is similar on one lake I visit , they inform you they are doing a Texas Parks and wildlife stop and only go thru the basic boat regulations and fishing licenses and dui stuff . Never seen them check fish size or limits before there either .
the good news is that lake is full of fish and not many really hit it hard to ketch them . the big numbers of folks there are mostly recreational types and weekenders partying it up .

What are the size and creel limits? And is this a private lake? At $300. for a permit, it better be. Who has authority to check permits?
