worked their magic today on these September sunfish. Was wishin I had brought a fly rod, but improvised with the spinning gear. Even had a nice size pumpkinseed get in on the action, but those brilliant breeding colors have really faded on that one. The last gill was in a group chasing baitfish and made the mistake of grabbing the ponyhead jig/curly tail brought thru the wake. On my second attempt my cast fell short and landed smack in the middle of the baitfish and scattered the whole works. On the walk out was thinking it won't be long before the flowers will be gone, but looking forward to that fall foliage. Thanks for lookin!
