Adaptable plastics

As I unhooked a nice gill today, was thinking that the Panfish stinger that was being used as a trailer on a inline spinner had also been used to catch gills this past week using 3 different applications. Also was used as a trailer on spoons and by itself on a drop shot hook rig. Small tubes, stingers, split tail grubs & panfish worms are other plastics I use for various applications besides the ones they are used for on jig hooks and elbow spinners. All small baits, nothing that will override the action of the lure. Gives a different look and action to a bait. Anyone else having success using in other ways? Here's a few pics from today. I've been posting your message for years: soft plastics have the most potential uses than any lure made. Hundreds of photos in hundreds of posts I've made have illustrated this. Glad to see you've discovered uses for the Stinger tail as well as the others. You may want to try a candle-flame union of different parts (examples in my posts). No one is saying hybrid lures are superior to anything bought but that many will catch fish as well as if not better than anything sold. I find lure variety and various presentations preferable to using the same thing year after year.

Bob,
Spoonminnow is the man when talking plastics. When I switched over all lures to single hooks it opened up more options for using plastics and just wanted to pass that info along.
