Default If at first you don't succeed,

try, try again. My intentions were to go and try to catch some gills. Not as easy as you may think. Had to fight off two LMB and three crappie to get to them. If my memory serves me right, that's 5 or 6 decent LMB this month all landed on plastic trailers on #10 Gamakatsu Siwash hooks.(a very good single replacement hook) The gills did not disappoint.
Happy fathers day to all you dads out there. Hope you were able to go fishing today.Name: DSC00893.jpg

Great trip, and some very pretty fish. That first crappie looks like he has his suit on. Good job.

Hey, Moon, a great shot of some very pretty fish. They always look nice - you’re not renting them are you?

Very good read moonrunner, with some beautiful fish. Love those old Mitchell 308 reels too. They caught my eye before the fish. I got one I need to take to the shop to fix. Wish I had a dozen more of them...Congrats on some very nice fish.

    JD,
Happy that my old 308 caught your eye. The old Mitchell's have that distinctive feel and sound that is hard to forget by all that have used them. I have quite a few of the old rods & reels that are still being put to good use, glad to hear you enjoy doing the same. Thanks.

Growing up, Dad had two reels. Both Mitchell Garcia's. A 308, and a 410...
