Default Does that come with a pickle?

In this case, most definitely. I had said in a response last week that “that’s a big ditch pickle”, and this was my payback for that , I guess. I started this morning as the sun warmed the sky. On my way to where I’d start my planned day I noticed that the bridge clearance markers were still lit so I dropped a BGBSon them that I had rigged from last time. 4 casts gave me 3 fish and 2 went in the box. I’m likin this! First one dried up and I moved, in a hurry before the sun changed all this. Second one I pitched past the lit circle and as it dropped I got a hit. Set the hook and said to myself” well this feels different “. Boy, did it. Then he felt the hook and came alive. 6’6” browning airstream and 2lb Nanofil with a 4lb leader and a good drag, thankfully. Off he went, several times as I tried to get him away from anything he could wrap. Then he tried wrapping the TM and then the outboard. Up the boat, down the boat, he tried it all. Now I’m digging for the net and off he goes again. Finally get him in the net on the third try and look to the sky and say thanks. Hooked just behind his sandpaper top lip there was no fray on the line, a surprise to me. Covered my golden rule completely and tipped the scale at 3lb 9oz, I admired him and laid him back in the water and a few seconds later, off he went. It wasn’t 6:30 yet. Starting out as a pretty good day! Wound up my day about 9:30 when the boat traffic got on my nerves with 8 crappie in the box and a nice Gill that came to visit, he got a pass. They fight so different than crappie that I knew what he was just after I set the hook. Hope your weekend is good to you, hope to see you out enjoying things. Til next time..... Skeet

Pretty good morning there Skeet, and sure is a great looking Gill you let go. That other fish ain't to shabby neither, they let you know your drag is working.
