Not this year. I was on them so good at Nickajack just didn't want to make the drive to Dale Hollow. As to Center Hill.....I have fished it once a week for the past 4 weeks....my last trip was yesterday. I have as of yet to find any bedding activity in the part of the lake I am fishing. As a matter of fact I can't even find any panfish in the shallows even. Going to have to re-learn the lake now that it is back to full pool.

Went to Dale Hollow Saturday and went way back up a creek. Found a very large shellcracker bed with dozens of huge shellcracker on them but they would not bite a thing. I could see them and they could see me. The water was so clear i could count the pebbles in the bottoms of the nests in 3' of water. i backed off for an hour and went back and casted long distances but not bites at all. These big boys were huge and very reluctant to abandon their beds. Just wanted to let you know that bedding activity is not over. My first visit to Dale Hollow and while its a beautiful lake, the boat traffic was the worst i've ever seen. Next trip will be during the week. I did catch a 3lb 8oz largemouth on ultralight and 1/32 trout magnet. That was a tussle.
Went to Center Hill Sunday and like you said the water was at Summer Pool. I found beds as far back up the creeks as i could go until i found shallower water. Caught a few but once they saw me bite was over.
thanks and Good Luck next time!

That behavior is quite common with shell cracker. I have experienced it a lot over the years….and not just in clear water. For whatever reason there is a time when they are on the bed they will not hit a thing. It can be very frustrating.
