I thought I would come contribute a little report to this forum after a good 2 hours of fishing yesterday afternoon. Fished a spot from the bank on Wheeler Reservoir in Decatur, AL that has produced in years past. I found some nice sized males on the bed in a stretch of shallow water against some rip rap. Caught these fish on a squirrel tail jig and Berkley Honey Worms under a bobber about 2 FT deep in 3-4 FOW. Fished from 6 PM until just before dark and caught somewhere around 50 fish total, kept these 21 for the freezer. The cooler weather we've had the previous 2 weeks of May had kept the fish off the bed in this spot, but the timing was just right yesterday. We've had some nice warm weather since the weekend and I believe things are getting really nice for the bluegill spawn heading into the full moon next week around our area.
