I have another suggestion that is like me, outside the box. Take your complete jig and have someone tie some jigs that copy the colors and then add the scent of your choice. I land 100 fish on a jig sometimes and it’s ready to go the next trip. Some folks tie really well and could make a few for you to try. I use plastics to find what they want and then switch to a hand tie and don’t have to replace the plastic anymore. Good luck with it.

That's a good idea but I can't tie nothing, and don't know anyone near me that does.

Hunter, please let me tell you what I learned when I first started tying. If you’re looking to impress with your work, don’t bother trying to impress the fish cuz they don’t care. Sure, there’s times when color might matter, or a type of flash or different tail might work better than another. But for the most part, tying a utilitarian jig will put a lot of fish in the boat. I’ve seen some downright ugly jigs make a cooler look pretty impressive. And for tools, it’s what you want to use. I remember a gent that posted up some pretty darn good jigs and he was tying on a pair of vise grips held in his bench vise. For over twenty years. Held the spool of thread in his hand, no bobbin. My point, if you can imagine it then you can make it happen. All of us started out tying funny looking jigs and improved over time. Jeez, look at mine. Nothing snazzy about em but man, they work.

I rather just buy some from a guy that enjoys tying.
