Default Catchin gills on lures mid March in Pa.

More followers than takers but managed a few today. Last pic is of a little guy whose eyes were bigger than his stomach. By the way, changing those trebles to a single make it easy-peasy releasing fish. Snapped a pic of this painted turtle soaking up some sun on a great day to be outdoors.Name: DSC00463.jpg

What size and brand replacement hooks are you using for the mini cranks?

Ah, MR, another inspiring day! Nice catch and the turtle was a bonus. Last summer I constantly surprised one at the same time in the morning and he was sunning 10 feet up or so on a shallow pitched gravel bank. Man, did he scoot every time! Single hooks do make the job better.

    Fly2btied,

Fished a larger, deeper lake earlier in morning and couldn't buy a hit. Just could not find the fish. Lucky for me, there is this shallow strip mine cut close by that saved the day.

    markedman 1132,

Here is what I used. The C'ultiva are a inline hook made to replace trebles on lures using one split ring. The Gamakatsu are open eye siwash for spinners and spoons that you can use without a split ring on cranks, but I feel the hook swings better using split rings, so you have to use 2 rings if using on cranks. The mini cranks in picture had the Gamakatsu 10's on since I was placing a small spinner blade on the top split ring above the hook split ring. The hook would get stuck on lip of crankbait sometimes on cast due to small size of crank. Most all the other crankbaits I switched over I used the C'ultiva 6's. Here's some pics to give you a good look. Hope this helps. C'ultivas from Finesse-Fishing.com and Gamakatsu from FishUSA. Both great companies to deal with!Name: DSC00470.jpg
