    Default Truzer

Was just watching a Richard Gene video and he fished with a rod sent to him by a viewer. Richard said it was a rod he could not afford to own. I'm guessing it was one from Majorcraft that some of you use??? Nice rod.

That is a Truzer Mebaru rod. One of the first JDM rods I bought was an Truzer Ajing 6' 5" Hard Model about 7 years back or so. While the Truzers were...and still are......good rods, Major Craft discontinued them a couple of years back. I still own mine but rarely fish with it anymore. They're very sensitive rods, and even though Richard Gene thinks it is light they are in actuality heavy rods. Many Ajing and Mebaru rods today are under 2 ounces in weight. Truzer has a great guide train and the blank is made from Toray carbon. The Truzer rods were built in Major Crafts "Works" state of the art factory in Vietnam. They made their own blanks instead of outsourcing. I have caught tons of fish with my Truzer.....mostly Smallies....white bass. The model Richard has would be considered a very good crappie rod...although a bit heavy to us JDM enthusiast.
