Yep, me too !! Started with cotton braid, then went to mono, then added dacron to the mix (Cortland), then added other braids ... all over the 65+ years I've fished.

OOPS - You are correct!

Ester is polyester. PE and braid (Spectra, Dyneema) are polyethylene.
