Default a few from the other day

Went on my regular run over to visit Ez , did my usual combo run , half crappie half bluegill on his dock .
The crappie were ok and the bluegill were ok . I probably managed about 20 plus on the crappie and around 30 plus on the bluegill in 3 hours and of course sat around some and drank a cccccold beer in the ac on the house boat in between fish chasing .
Nothing of great importance to mention . The fish look summer tired to some degree and the water was quite active with critters playing in the shade in it .
Weenies were best on the bluegill and down the road I went before dark .
5 30 to 8 30 and i dunked the dogs under a tiny float about 4 to 5 foot deep and slowly drug it to me . All fish were released and no tacos were made
here are a few of the different color variations in encountered .
    KABOOM is the word

Nice variety of fish. What fish was the last photo? Those look like some spines.

fun day on light tackle on a hot one especially if you have a place to get in the AC and cool off for a bit.

That is still fun no matter the size. If no Tacos then just leave a hot dog out in the sun on some shiny aluminum and kaboom supper is ready!

2 lb test and a xtralite makes it lots of fun for sure
and a cold beer in the ac in between really puts it up a notch

Very nice.....If I could find bluegill that size below Nickajack Dam in the summer I’d whip out a SUL or XUL and stay on them all day. It is the most bizarre tail race I fish. In summer the place is darn near void of bluegill.

    Regards

i enjoy the summer spots I know have a few, but envy you that you have a good cold water location .
